Aims

The MX Diploma in Radio & TV Broadcasting course intended for those with a passion for hosting their own TV program, creating documentary and radio programs. It also for those that wants to earn a living in the field of TV/radio presenting, documentary & series production for TV and internet.

Students will explore all aspects of television giving them a knowledge of both behind the scenes and in front of the camera production techniques. Students will have the opportunity to explore and develop the art of TV Presenting, Interviewing, Autocue and Links to camera as well as Producing, Directing and Editing. Students will have access to professional camera and editing equipment and to assist them in producing a showreel.

At the end of the course, the students in collaboration with MX Crew will produce their demo reel to demonstrate their ability to carry out the course objectives and also to have as a profile.

Students will acquire a range of skills required to present and develop a portfolioover the year to television programmes to a professional standard.

 

Documentary Production  

Students are introduced to the fundamentals of Documentary film making. From Planning,  Scripting, Production, Presenting/voice over.

Production Design for TV

Students are introduced to the role and functions of the Art Dept within the Film and TV production process. Students will learn visual and practical skills to creatively interpret, research, source, construct and acquire the elements necessary to visually communicate a script.

TV & Radio Reporting

Students will learn the skills required to manage and produce television and video programmes

Entry Requirements

Suitable candidates must have obtained a Secondary School Leaving Certificate (S.S.C.E.) or other higher degree equivalent to be eligible for this course.

Course Duration:

Training:  2 – 3 Months
Internship 2 Months or more (not compulsory)

Formerly – Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira (N250,000)

Now –  One Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira (N150,000)
